Israeli Defense Forces / Lone Soldier Program / IDF Unit 551

You can stand with Israel today! In the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), a Lone Soldier is defined as a serviceman or woman without immediate family in Israel, usually non-Israelis of Jewish background. Lone Soldiers serve in regular units and receive various forms of support from the IDF, Israeli government ministries, and other organizations. Many times this support falls short to meet basic needs. In addition to financial hardships, these Lone Soldiers often suffer from loneliness and homesickness. There are over 7,000 Lone Soldiers currently serving in the IDF. About 45% of these soldiers are new immigrants, coming from Jewish communities all over the world. The most represented countries of origin were Russia and the United States. The goal of the High Adventure Lone Soldier program is to provide moral and financial support for these brave individuals who have sacrificed so much to protect our Holy Land. In addition, one of our own Moses Moon, our director of High Adventure broadcasting and Israeli operations, is a Lone Soldier from Canada. Moses serves as a Master Sergeant in the IDF Reserve Unit 551. His unit was the first to see combat in Gaza following the Oct 7 attacks. After spending 88 in Gaza he is now being redeployed. High Adventure is supporting his unit by providing funding for equipment.  In the coming weeks Moses’ unit will once again be activated and engage the enemies of Israel in one of the most treacherous theaters of combat imaginable. This is a two front war, Gaza and Southern Lebanon. As the war drags on, supplies are scarce as the IDF struggles to supply its soldiers. Your donations can help with protective gear, night vision optics, thermal video imaging equipment, uniforms, and even underwear and sox. The estimated cost is around $115,000 for everything his unit needs. This is truly a matter of life and death, as his unit lost 4 members during the last deployment. We believe God will provide for his needs! Please pray for Moses.
